Neuropsychological Testing

Neuropsychological testing helps to better understand a person's cognitive functioning and includes tasks that assess attention & concentration, memory, visual and spatial abilities, language and executive functioning.

Neuropsychological testing is often used to help with the accurate diagnosis of: Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder Memory Disorders Other Neurological Disorders.

These tests are also helpful to understand cognitive functions after brain injuries or concussions.

 

Psychological Testing

Psychological testing is performed to help with the accurate diagnosis of:

  • Depression and Bipolar Disorders
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Psychotic Disorders
  • Other general psychiatric and personality disorders


In addition to helping to inform accurate diagnoses, psychological testing is also used to form individual treatment recommendations to meet the needs of a person's unique strengths and areas of relative difficulties associated with their psychiatric disorder, personality style and/or way of processing information. Dr. Parks has a special interest in individualizing services to offer consumer-oriented recommendations that are targeted to inform client's treatment and daily lifestyle with the overall goal of improving functioning.
